James graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, majoring in Communication Design with further studies in Animation and Illustration. He has worked in a variety of different capacities, ranging from advertising to interactive and multimedia, with clients such as GE Healthcare, Harley-Davidson, the American Red Cross, and Geffen Records. James’ career motivation has been to discover new means of idea expression through design; this has fueled the diversity of his experiences and work.
James has also dedicated himself to education and exposing underprivileged students to careers in design. Through organizations like OnRamp and Cities Project, James has shared his love of design with the next generation of designers and artists. In addition, he has spent time teaching classes in motion graphics, video editing, and print design to college undergraduate and continuing education students.
At Tellart, James is tasked with developing unique interface approaches to web, mobile and physical interaction applications. He leverages his training in Graphic Design and communication sensibilities to create compelling layouts and visual interfaces across all media, and provides sketches and renderings to support Tellart’s concept generation and prototyping efforts with clients.
