Tellart Hacks Frogger for Maker Faire RI 2010
September 14, 2010
After last year’s Maker Pong fun in downtown Providence, we were psyched to get involved with this year’s Maker Faire– a yearly event designed to celebrate New England D.I.Y. culture. We decided to stick to the theme of mixed reality projection games, developing a custom WaterFire tribute to the classic Frogger Game. Players were invited to wear a helmet rigged with infrared LED’s which let them control a virtual frog trying to cross the treacherous WaterFire-themed street.
In the spirit of this Make Magazine-affiliated event, we are sharing our software that ran the game, along with some instructions – available for download here.
